Frequent Questions Answered RSS
Can I get a Certificate of Completion?
Yes! Upon completion of each project, RID members will be sent a confirmation email stating the date the CEUs were posted to their RID transcript. If you require a Certificate of Completion attached to this email, just ask! For non-RID participants, a Certificate of Completion is automatically sent with the confirmation email upon completion of all projects.
Is there any limit to how many independent study projects I can do in one cycle with RID
No. RID, and iCEU Central, encourage a wide variety of CEU events to give each interpreter a well-rounded professional growth experience every 4-year cycle. RID acknowledges that you may not retain all your learning after a 4 year cycle, so you can repeat projects to refresh your skills once your new cycle begins.
Can I earn Ethics or Legal Specialization Credits with these projects?
Yes! Any of our projects that are focused on professional ethics study will have the Specialization Category of ETHICS STUDIES, or LEGAL STUDIES listed on your Certificate of Completion to present to your licensing or certification board as required. For Legal specialization, the credits are entered onto your RID transcript with this label as well.

Since the primary intent of most fictional novels and blockbuster films is for entertainment, iCEU Central (and RID's CMP Handbook) do not deem these as valid learning experiences, worthy of RID CEUs. You may see advertisements for these kinds of projects - they may be of questionable integrity, so buyer/interpreter beware. iCEU Central only chooses materials rooted...
