How do I know if a project qualifies for the Power, Privilege & Oppression (PPO) label?
RID gives CMP Sponsors guidelines for what type of content qualifies for PPO. Not all Professional Studies projects about culture or the Deaf community qualify. You can find all the PPO-qualified projects listed in the "Power, Privilege and Oppression CEUs" category from our catalog on the website. All Monthly Book Club Discussion's will specifically list if they are PPO qualified in the advertisement and project description.
Is there any limit to how many independent study projects I can do in one cycle with RID
No. RID, and iCEU Central, encourage a wide variety of CEU events to give each interpreter a well-rounded professional growth experience every 4-year cycle. There are currently no limits on any specific type of course work or education event types.
How do I send in my completed work for credit?
Choose the best option for you: Email attachment, shared document services (google docs, One Note, etc) or US mail. (We are no longer able to accept faxes.) We will provide you will all these contacts upon registration of your project.
Who do I contact if I have any problems seeing my CEUs on my RID Transcript?
Email Ginevra Deianni, RID Sponsor, at manager@iceucentral.com anytime about RID CEU questions about your specific transcript, or generally. She is always available to offer guidance and assistance to RID members.
Can I get a Certificate of Completion?
Yes! Upon completion of each project, RID members will be sent a confirmation email stating the date the CEUs were posted to their RID transcript. If you require a Certificate of Completion attached to this email, just ask! For non-RID participants, a Certificate of Completion is automatically sent with the confirmation email upon completion of all projects.
